Role Overview

The Lead Technical Engineer will manage a small, cross‑functional team of developers, guiding both day‑to‑day coding and long‑term architectural strategy. The role requires deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot for backend services, while ensuring that the system follows a micro‑services architecture and exposes well‑designed RESTful APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3‑5 developers, providing mentorship and technical direction.
• Write high‑quality, maintainable code in Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and oversee micro‑services, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security.
• Architect RESTful APIs and integrate third‑party services.
• Deploy and manage services on AWS, using Kubernetes for orchestration and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, building, and deployment.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Explore and integrate AI/ML capabilities, such as large‑language‑model (LLM)‑based chatbots and image‑generation tools, to enhance platform features.

Required Experience & Skills

• 6‑9 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior engineering capacity.
• Strong command of Java, Spring Boot, and related ecosystem libraries.
• Proven experience designing and scaling micro‑services in a production environment.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda) and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools for reproducible infrastructure.
