Role Overview

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will spearhead computer vision projects, designing and deploying state‑of‑the‑art object detection models that power dynamic promotions, loyalty programs, and buy‑now‑pay‑later features. The role is a full‑time CDI based in Casablanca, requiring strong French and English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of YOLO‑based detection pipelines for retail use cases.
• Design and maintain synthetic data generation and annotation workflows.
• Optimize model performance for deployment on AWS and edge devices such as TensorRT and TFLite.
• Implement distributed training strategies to scale model training across GPU clusters.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and data teams to integrate ML solutions into the retail ecosystem.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in ML engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and ML frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of computer vision, YOLO, and Ultralytics YOLO.
• Experience with distributed training on AWS and edge deployment.
• Strong background in synthetic data generation, annotation pipelines, and object detection for small objects.
• Familiarity with DINO, ViT‑based backbones, and on‑device optimization (TensorRT, TFLite).
• Understanding of retail technology, OCR, and dense shelf detection.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent (BAC +5).
• Fluency in French and English.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
