Orange Business, a leading global telecommunications and digital services provider, is seeking a Senior Mobile Core Network Engineer to join its dynamic team in Sala Al Jadida, Morocco. This permanent position (CDI) offers a hybrid work model, combining office and remote work, and is part of Orange’s broader strategy to accelerate the transition to 5G and cloud‑native mobile services.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, engineer, and deploy mobile core network solutions across Orange’s international portfolio, including roaming, messaging, and 5G CNaaS.
• Lead the architecture and operation of core network components such as AMF, MME, SMF, SPGW‑C, and UPF/SPGW‑U, ensuring seamless integration with RAN radio networks.
• Manage containerized deployments on Telco cloud platforms like RedHat OpenShift, leveraging Kubernetes for scalability and resilience.
• Implement and maintain OSS/BSS tools, functional and performance testing frameworks, and security controls to safeguard the core network.
• Coordinate cross‑functional technical activities, prioritize tasks, and meet stringent deadlines in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, translating client requirements into technical specifications.
• Champion continuous learning, staying abreast of emerging technologies such as IPv6, QoS, MPLS, VPN, and advanced security measures.
Required Expertise
• In‑depth knowledge of mobile networks, LTE/5G architectures, and 3GPP standards.
• Hands‑on experience with AMF/MME, SMF/SPGW‑C, UPF/SPGW‑U, and other core network functions.
• Proven track record in deploying and supporting mobile core networks in multi‑shift, 24/7 environments.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and container orchestration (RedHat OpenShift).
• Familiarity with OSS/BSS tools, RAN radio networks, and IP routing (IPv4/IPv6, QoS, MPLS, VPN).
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Educational Background
• Graduate degree in Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience focused on mobile core networks.
