The Senior Mobile Core Network Engineer will be a key member of Orange Business’s Mobile Services department, responsible for the architecture, engineering, deployment, and operation of the mobile core network. The position focuses on delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions for international roaming, messaging, and 5G CNaaS services, supporting multiple projects such as IoT‑A, IoT‑N, and CNaaS initiatives. The engineer will work in a hybrid environment, combining office and remote work, and will collaborate with global teams to drive the software transformation of mobile services.
• Design, implement, and maintain mobile core network architectures for 4G and 5G, ensuring alignment with 3GPP standards and RAN radio networks.
• Deploy and manage AMF/MME, SMF/SPGW‑C, UPF/SPGW‑U components in containerized Telco cloud environments (RedHat OpenShift), leveraging CI‑CD pipelines and GitLab automation.
• Conduct functional, performance, and end‑to‑end testing using OSS/BSS, OSS, and BSS tools, as well as IPv4/IPv6 routing, QoS, MPLS, and VPN technologies.
• Coordinate technical activities across cross‑functional teams, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a 24/7 shift schedule.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with security measures and industry best practices.
• Communicate effectively with clients to translate business requirements into technical specifications, and actively participate in collaborative solution design.
The ideal candidate holds a graduate degree in Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field, and possesses 5 to 8 years of proven experience in telecommunications with a focus on mobile core networks. Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is mandatory, and the role requires working in shifts to support 24/7 operations.
