WafR is a leading FinTech application that empowers informal small merchants—especially grocers—to offer financial services to their customers. Since its inception, the platform has expanded from telephone credit to a broader suite of financial products, now serving tens of thousands of merchants across Morocco.

Position Overview
As Senior Technical Lead, you will be the linchpin between product vision and technical execution. Your responsibilities include:

• Architectural Strategy: Own the end‑to‑end application stack, data models, and infrastructure. Guide strategic decisions around microservices adoption, performance scaling, and system evolution.
• Design Leadership: Lead technical design, planning, and documentation for major enhancements. Champion best practices in design patterns, security, and maintainability.
• Hands‑On Coding: Contribute code to critical components, demonstrating technical proficiency and credibility within the team.
• Code Quality Assurance: Own the code review process, enforce stringent standards, and mentor developers through reviews.
• Automation & CI/CD: Define and implement automated quality checks, testing frameworks, and continuous integration pipelines to accelerate reliable deployments.
• Product Alignment: Serve as the technical liaison to Product Owners, translating business requirements into actionable technical tasks and assessing feasibility.
• Risk & Roadmap Management: Identify technical risks early, advise on architectural investments, and influence the product roadmap to balance feature delivery with system health.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with a senior or principal focus on system design and architecture.
• Proven track record designing scalable, high‑availability, fault‑tolerant systems.
• Extensive experience conducting constructive code reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, adept at translating complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in Agile environments.
• Preferred: Domain experience in FinTech, E‑commerce, or Data Analytics; familiarity with multiple architectural styles (Monolithic, Microservices, Event‑Driven); certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
