Yakeey is a rapidly expanding PropTech firm headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco, dedicated to simplifying and accelerating real‑estate transactions through a unified digital platform. The platform encompasses a property marketplace, a credit application and processing system, and a valuation tool, all powered by a modern data architecture that supports analytics, reporting, and AI‑driven services.

As the Technical Lead, you will be at the forefront of product delivery, guiding a team of approximately four developers to implement high‑quality features that align with Yakeey’s product roadmap and architectural standards. Your responsibilities will span the entire development lifecycle: from translating product requirements and architectural designs into clear, actionable tasks, to overseeing implementation, ensuring code quality, and maintaining alignment with the company’s micro‑services architecture.

Key duties include:

• Leading and coordinating a small engineering team, fostering collaboration and ensuring timely delivery of product features.
• Architecting and reviewing solutions within your scope, guaranteeing consistency with overall platform architecture and design principles.
• Actively contributing to hands‑on development, writing clean, maintainable code, and championing best practices in Java/Spring Boot and related technologies.
• Mentoring team members, providing guidance on technical challenges, code quality, testing, and professional growth.
• Collaborating closely with product managers, architects, and cross‑functional teams to refine requirements, anticipate dependencies, and plan releases.
• Driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance development processes, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and documentation.

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Strong background in backend engineering (Java, Spring Boot) and familiarity with front‑end frameworks such as React/Next.js.
• Experience leading a small development team or acting as a technical mentor.
• Deep understanding of micro‑services architecture, RESTful API design, and cloud platforms (AWS). Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform is a plus.
• Ability to interpret architecture and design documents and translate them into implementation plans.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and architects.
• Commitment to quality, including writing clean, maintainable code and promoting best practices in testing and code review.
• Experience in fintech, proptech, or other regulated domains is advantageous; proficiency in French or Arabic is a plus.
