Accounts Payable Accountant – Casablanca

About the role

Hexcel is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join its finance team in Casablanca, Morocco. The role supports the company’s global operations by ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments while maintaining strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Record supplier invoices, expense claims and related journal entries in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, receipts and contracts, ensuring proper approvals before processing.
• Prepare and execute supplier payments, manage banking transactions and intercompany netting activities.
• Perform vendor, customer, bank and intercompany account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Investigate accounting variances, exceptions and outstanding balances to maintain accurate financial records.
• Monitor missing invoices and follow up on unresolved supplier issues.
• Maintain organized filing and archiving of invoices, payment records and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, General Accounting or Finance operations.
• Eligibility to work in Morocco.
• Fluent in English; French and Arabic are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
