Affiliate Professor – Mathematics & Scientific Computing

About the role

The College of Chemical Sciences & Engineering at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks an Affiliate Professor to teach mathematics and scientific computing to students in the Integrated Preparatory Cycle and support design projects in the Engineering Cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver mathematics courses covering analysis, algebra, linear algebra, series, and numerical analysis for two parallel cohorts.
• Conduct scientific computing sessions linked to these modules and to engineering design projects.
• Run academic support, remedial teaching, and tutoring schemes across the preparatory cycle.
• Design and deliver modules using active learning methods such as blended learning, project‑based learning, and challenge‑based learning.
• Supervise design projects from problem framing to final defence.
• Provide up to 200 hours per year of teaching, including lectures, tutorials, labs, computer sessions, and project supervision.
• Prepare, invigilate, and grade examinations and continuous assessments.
• Contribute to pedagogical committees, examination boards, and maintain teaching materials.
