AFR Customer & Ops Specialist

About the role

The AFR Customer & Ops Specialist supports the daily administration of air freight forwarding processes for internal and external customers. Working under direct supervision, you will help ensure the smooth flow of goods and information across global supply chains, contributing to profitability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support for AFR operations and customer service processes.
• Gather operational requirements, arrange customer visits and respond to tariff queries.
• Conduct research, data processing, validation and documentation related to shipments.
• Collect and relay information to the Freight Control Center and operations team.
• Assist in determining freight rates for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Maintain records of shipping tenders and support shipment documentation.
• Enter data, share information and prepare reports on account performance.
• Create or confirm transport orders, perform bookings and optimise booking schedules.
• Prepare, review and distribute import and export documentation.
• Identify supplier performance issues and propose improvements.
• Escalate recurring service issues to supervisors when needed.

Required profile

• Ability to work under direct or close supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Good organisational skills to manage repetitive and administrative tasks.
• Capacity to follow defined processes, systems and methodologies.
• Willingness to collaborate with internal teams and external customers.
