Assistant Housekeeping Manager – Public Areas

About the role

We are seeking an entry‑level manager to support daily operations in Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry at our Marriott hotel in Fes. The role focuses on cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas, conducting inspections and driving corrective actions. You will help ensure guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and loss‑prevention policies.
• Oversee lost‑and‑found procedures and manage inventory of linens and supplies.
• Coordinate room cleaning assignments, including immediate and upcoming check‑outs.
• Communicate guest‑room status promptly to the Front Desk and collaborate with Engineering for maintenance needs.
• Supervise inspection programs for guestrooms and public spaces, providing feedback to staff.
• Manage housekeeping budgets, stock levels, and ordering of supplies.
• Provide supervision in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager.
• Address guest complaints and assist in reviewing comment cards and satisfaction results.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of housekeeping or related experience.
• Or a two‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field with no prior work experience required.
