Assistant Professor – Process Instrumentation, Control & Simulation

About the role

The College of Chemical Sciences & Engineering (CCSE) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks an Assistant Professor to lead teaching and research in process instrumentation, control, and simulation. The position is teaching‑focused with a strong research component within one of the College’s R&D entities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate modules on industrial instrumentation, measurement, data acquisition, process control, and automation.
• Teach and coordinate process modelling and simulation modules; supervise simulation work in design projects.
• Set up and supervise the instrumentation and control laboratory, contributing to electricity and electronics modules for the preparatory cycle.
• Supervise student projects, laboratory work, internships, and end‑of‑study projects; provide academic advising.
• Develop teaching materials, laboratory experiments, assessment methods, and support accreditation activities.
• Contribute to the research agenda of the affiliated R&D entity.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in teaching at undergraduate or graduate level in instrumentation, control, or simulation.
• Ability to develop and manage laboratory facilities and curriculum.
