Associate Professor of Physics (Integrated Preparatory Cycle)

About the role

The College of Chemical Sciences & Engineering (CCSE) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks an Associate Professor of Physics to teach the Integrated Preparatory Cycle. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions for first‑ and second‑year students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach physics subjects including mechanics, electricity and electronics, electromagnetism, optics, wave physics and system dynamics.
• Deliver up to 200 hours of annual teaching service covering lectures, tutorials, labs, assessment design, invigilation and marking.
• Contribute to the physical chemistry component and associated experimental teaching.
• Prepare, invigilate and grade examinations and continuous assessments, and help define assessment standards.
• Provide academic tutoring, individual follow‑up, remedial support and guidance to students.
• Participate in structuring course content, semester sequencing (semesters 1‑4), pedagogical committees and examination boards.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Physics (PhD preferred) with strong knowledge of the listed physics topics.
• Experience teaching at university level, preferably in preparatory or engineering programmes.
• Ability to work within CCSE’s research entities and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to a teaching load of up to 200 hours per year.
