About the role

The Project Economics Controller (PEC) reports to the Project Economics Manager and is responsible for managing and consolidating R&D and CAPEX expenses of automotive projects. The role monitors project spending, prepares forecasts and supports the transition of projects to mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor the status of project expenses, including make/buy investments, launch costs and supplier services.
• Consolidate global project expenses, ensuring data quality, consistency and multi‑year views.
• Build and update the risks and opportunities portfolio for expenses and lead corrective action plans.
• Manage the annual project budget, compare actuals to forecasts and coordinate with purchasing and engineering.
• Prepare the hand‑over of remaining expenses to the serial‑life team and deliver final expense status and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Finance, Economics or Engineering degree with 3‑5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in finance, financial consolidation, variance analysis and reporting.
• Ability to communicate complex financial issues and work autonomously under pressure.
