Controller I (Finance & Accounting)

About the role

The Controller I acts as the strategic financial leader for the property, shaping and executing financial strategies that support brand objectives and deliver measurable results. This full‑time position is based in Fnideq, Morocco, and works closely with senior management to align financial planning with overall business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain annual budget plans, forecasting sales, expenses and wage costs.
• Analyse financial data and market trends to identify profit‑improvement opportunities.
• Monitor actual performance against forecasts, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure robust accounting controls and risk‑management processes to safeguard assets.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, communicating strategic priorities and holding staff accountable for results.
• Prepare timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (or a Master’s degree with no experience required).
• At least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, or a recent graduate with a relevant Master’s degree.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex data.
• Excellent communication skills to convey financial insights to non‑financial stakeholders.
