Country Manager – North Africa (Logistics & Supply Chain)

About the role

We are establishing a logistics presence in North Africa and need a hands‑on Country Manager to lead the launch. The role combines full P&L responsibility, business development and operational set‑up across Egypt, Morocco and Algeria, focusing on cross‑border freight forwarding, warehousing and customs clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the market entry and growth strategy aligned with global objectives.
• Lead the creation of the legal entity, including company registration, tax and banking setup.
• Identify and acquire key B2B clients such as Chinese manufacturers, EV, home‑appliance and e‑commerce companies.
• Negotiate commercial contracts and design end‑to‑end supply‑chain solutions.
• Navigate customs and regulatory environments, building relationships with brokers and government agencies.
• Set up warehousing and distribution hubs in major port cities and manage local partners.
• Monitor geopolitical, regulatory and currency risks and develop contingency plans.
• Recruit, train and lead a multicultural team while ensuring compliance with local labour laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding or supply‑chain management, preferably with P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record of establishing operations in emerging markets.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience negotiating with enterprise clients.
• Fluent in English; Arabic, French or Chinese is a plus.
