Customs Senior Specialist – L2

About the role

Yazaki is seeking a Customs Senior Specialist (L2) to join its Tangier plant. The role focuses on ensuring customs compliance, managing import‑export processes and supporting lean initiatives within the logistics function.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate customs clearance with brokers, handling documentation, origin verification and tariff classification.
• Develop, maintain and update customs compliance SOPs for the EMEA region and act as single point of contact for regulatory matters.
• Monitor customs costs against forecasts, align with finance and drive cost‑control initiatives.
• Lead export‑control compliance, conduct customs audits and investigations across multiple countries.
• Support lean projects in customs/logistics, communicate network changes and resolve issues with plants and service centers.
• Stay current with EU and international trade regulations (e.g., Brexit, POD, centralized warehouses) and provide guidance to business units.
• Maintain the HTS update process, ensure correct tariff codes and harmonise classifications across plants.

Required profile

• Engineering or master’s degree in International Business, Economics, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of import‑export or customs experience in a logistics environment, preferably automotive.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office.
