Head Butler – Hotel Housekeeping Management

About the role

The Head Butler leads daily housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry operations for a hotel property. This full‑time position ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee zones are clean, well‑maintained, and meet brand standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping shift operations, inspections, and compliance with policies.
• Coordinate room status communication with the Front Desk and assign cleaning tasks.
• Manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure adequacy.
• Control departmental budgets and strive to meet or exceed financial targets.
• Train, schedule, and evaluate housekeeping staff, handling attendance and performance documentation.
• Conduct regular employee recognition and feedback initiatives.
• Participate in departmental meetings and communicate goals clearly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of housekeeping standards, budgeting, and staff supervision.
