Investment Analyst – Transport & ICT Project Development

About the role

Africa50 is looking for an Investment Analyst to join its Project Development Fund team in Casablanca. The role focuses on transport, logistics and digital infrastructure projects across Africa, supporting the full investment lifecycle from screening to financial close.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain project‑finance models covering revenues, costs, financing assumptions, returns and sensitivities.
• Research transport and ICT markets, country contexts, sponsors, policies and potential development opportunities.
• Support screening, investment structuring and transaction execution for PPPs, concessions and other public‑private delivery models.
• Coordinate financial, commercial, technical, legal, tax and ESG diligence workstreams and prepare decision materials.
• Assist in negotiations, project monitoring and engagement with public authorities, sponsors, lenders, DFIs and other investors.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of relevant experience in infrastructure project development, project finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, a DFI or a related institution.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Professional written and spoken English; French highly desirable, Portuguese or another African language an advantage.
