Logistics Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

The Logistics Manager (m/f/d) will lead the logistics function within a manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient material flow across the entire supply chain. Reporting to senior management, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution to meet production schedules and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute logistics strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on efficiency, cost optimisation and service level improvement.
• Lead, develop and motivate the logistics team to achieve high‑performance results.
• Plan, organise and control all logistics activities, including material planning, warehousing, inventory management and shipping.
• Coordinate with production, suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee smooth supply of materials.
• Monitor and optimise material flow and inventory levels to reduce waste and improve working capital.
• Ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery in line with customer requirements and production schedules.
• Manage logistics KPIs, budgets and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, process optimisation, digitalisation).
• Prepare and present performance reports to top management.
• Act as primary interface with customers, suppliers and internal functions while ensuring compliance with quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949) and health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree optional) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in logistics or supply chain within a manufacturing setting, preferably automotive.
• At least 5 years of proven leadership experience managing logistics or supply‑chain teams.
• Strong knowledge of logistics processes, quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
