Sushi Chef – 5‑Star Hotel in Casablanca

About the role

Join Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche, a 5‑star Accor hotel, as a Sushi Chef. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality sushi and Asian dishes for à la carte and buffet services, while contributing to menu development and maintaining culinary standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure consistency in preparation of all food items for à la carte and buffet menus according to property recipes and standards.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and seek guest feedback.
• Maintain and enhance food products through creative menu development and presentation.
• Adhere to the menu engineering program and create seasonal and holiday menus following hotel guidelines.
• Control food cost by optimizing production efficiency and minimizing waste.
• Complete daily temperature logs and enforce FIFO for all received goods.
• Place work orders for equipment repairs and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of Asian cuisine experience in a luxury hotel environment.
• Proven knowledge of sushi preparation.
• Culinary diploma or certification is an asset.
• Passion for food and desire to develop culinary and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong teamwork orientation and collaborative attitude.
