Aircraft Mechanic 2 – AH-64 (Morocco)

About the role

The AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic (AM-2) is responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and modifications on AH-64 helicopters in accordance with FAA and DoD standards. The role involves working on a full range of tactical aircraft systems and coordinating with other trades to ensure proper assembly and checkout.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of AH-64 systems, including fuel, hydraulic, engine, and transmission.
• Install, align, and balance major assemblies such as fuselage parts, tail rotor, and flight control systems.
• Incorporate authorized modifications and conduct operational checks using ground support equipment.
• Direct lower‑graded mechanics and coordinate with general mechanics and sheet‑metal trades.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance forms and records.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of aviation maintenance experience on the AH-64, preferably within the last five years.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain NAC‑I T1 Public Trust clearance.
• Valid passport and ability to meet medical/vaccination requirements for deployment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AH‑64 hydraulic, fuel, and engine systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical data and maintenance manuals.
• Knowledge of aircraft assembly, modification, and quality control procedures.
