APU Quality Engineer (M/F)

About the role

Valeo is looking for an APU Quality Engineer to ensure product quality and compliance on the assembly line. The role supports APU managers and the site manager in handling QRQC activities, customer returns, and non‑quality issues.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate QRQC entries in the QIM database, contain issues and validate robustness of containment actions.
• Support APU managers and the site manager in analyzing issues arising from QRQC activities.
• Maintain and update APU quality tracking charts such as Customer Returns and Cost of Non‑Quality.
• Conduct line audits to detect non‑conformities, enforce standards and define corrective actions.
• Participate in eradication of customer and non‑quality issues and ensure “Stop at first disagree” and “Stop at first no” principles are applied.
• Revise control plans after issues and verify 4M matrix compliance for product or process changes.
• Update quality documents following process changes and verify continuous conformance to specifications.
• Exercise authority to stop the manufacturing/assembly line when safety or quality risks are identified.
• Represent the customer within Valeo on quality matters, including communication and escalation.
• Manage PD, CA and closure for internal supplier incidents.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of automotive quality standards and QRQC methodology.
• Ability to analyse root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Authority to halt production lines when standards are not met.
• Effective communication skills to represent customer interests within the company.
