Assistant / Associate Professor of International Relations

About the role

The Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences (FGSES) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat is recruiting an Assistant or Associate Professor in International Relations, starting in Autumn 2027. The search is open to all subfields of IR, with particular interest in international organizations and multilateralism, and FGSES has particular strengths in African case studies. The deadline is 15 December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Teach international relations courses, which may fall outside the candidate's immediate area of specialization.
• Teach two courses per semester.
• Contribute to a strong research agenda and to scholarship and teaching excellence.

Required profile

• A Ph.D. in International Relations, Political Science, Government or a closely related social science field, or expected completion by August 2027.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in scholarship and teaching.
• Candidates may teach in French or English.
