Assistant Professor – Bioprocesses & Industrial Microbiology

About the role

The College of Chemical Sciences & Engineering at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University seeks an Assistant Professor to lead teaching and laboratory activities in bioprocesses and industrial microbiology. The position supports the growth of the engineering and bachelor programmes and contributes to the university’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate general microbiology, biochemistry and industrial microbiology modules, including laboratory sessions.
• Teach and coordinate bioprocess engineering modules such as bioreactors, fermentation, downstream processing and environmental biotechnology.
• Set up, supervise, and ensure biosafety, hygiene and quality procedures for laboratory teaching activities.
• Supervise student projects, internships, laboratory work and end‑of‑study projects; provide academic advising.
• Develop teaching materials, laboratory experiments, assessment methods and contribute to pedagogical committees, examination boards and accreditation files.

Required profile

• PhD in microbiology, bioprocess engineering, biotechnology or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Experience in supervising research projects and laboratory work.
• Strong commitment to academic excellence and research integration.
