Audio Development Lead

About the role

Stellantis is seeking an Audio Development Lead to head the design and development of automotive audio components such as speakers, microphones, and amplifiers. You will guide a team of Design Release Engineers, act as the primary technical liaison with suppliers and cross‑functional groups, and ensure that audio systems meet quality, cost, timing, and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Design Release Engineers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide strategic technical direction and conduct rigorous design reviews for all audio subsystems.
• Serve as the main audio representative on the project, aligning internal departments and external suppliers.
• Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration to resolve technical issues and keep the project on schedule.
• Manage development timelines, track project health, and report progress, risks, and KPIs against Stellantis milestones.
• Monitor and ensure Quality, Cost, Timing, and Performance (QCTP) targets are met, implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Oversee technical consistency, validation plans, and testing activities for all audio components.
• Drive continuous improvement through escalation handling, lessons‑learned sessions, and cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Bac+5) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an industrial or automotive environment.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex development projects.
• Strong understanding of automotive audio systems, component design, and validation processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
