B1 Certifying Engineer (Airbus A320)

About the role

The B1 Certifying Engineer is responsible for performing and supervising line and base‑level maintenance on Air Arabia’s Airbus A320 fleet and third‑party aircraft. The role ensures all work is certified, recorded accurately and complies with Air Arabia and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review task cards with the Maintenance Manager, gather required documentation, parts, tools and GSE before starting work.
• Execute scheduled aircraft maintenance, conduct tests and inspections, and record any defects in accordance with approved procedures.
• Troubleshoot and rectify defects using Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Engineering instructions.
• Sign off maintenance tasks within the scope of the B1 licence, ensuring all paperwork meets required standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and technicians, manage handovers and maintain safety precautions throughout the task.

Required profile

• Valid EASA Part 66 & DGAC B1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence for Airbus A320, with commitment to remove any limitations within 9 months.
• At least 2 years certifying maintenance on Airbus A320 family and 5 years in line/base maintenance (or 3 years internal experience as a qualified technician).
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted DGAC B1 licence and a Moroccan driving licence.

Required skills

• EASA Part 66 / DGAC B1 licensing for Airbus A320.
• Line and base aircraft maintenance procedures.
• Defect troubleshooting using Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.
• Use of ground support equipment (GSE) and personal protective equipment.
