Cashier – Food & Beverage Services

About the role

The Cashier – Food & Beverage Services role at the Rabat Marriott Hotel ensures accurate and efficient handling of all guest payments while delivering a welcoming experience. You will manage cash, credit, and other payment methods in line with the hotel’s accounting policies and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process all payment methods following established accounting procedures.
• Maintain cash handling standards, including blind drops and bank security.
• Count and reconcile the bank at shift end, complete cashier reports, and resolve discrepancies.
• Transport and secure the bank between workstations as required.
• Set up and keep the cashier workstation clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Perform opening duties, ensuring all tools and the bank are ready for operation.
• Adhere to company safety, security, and uniform policies.
• Greet guests professionally, address service needs, and provide courteous assistance.
• Answer telephone calls using proper etiquette.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals and maintain quality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and information retrieval.
