Compliance Officer

About the role

Société Générale GSC Morocco, the Global Solution Centre of the group, is hiring a Compliance Officer to support Bernstein SG within the EMEA and APAC Compliance function. Reporting functionally to the EMEA/APAC Chief Compliance Officer, the role provides operational support to global Compliance teams, coordinates key compliance controls and helps identify, track and communicate regulatory risks, controls and reporting obligations. It works closely with Compliance colleagues and with Risk, Legal, Operations and business stakeholders across regions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the compliance risk and permanent control frameworks, assessing regulatory risks and mitigating actions
• Perform and manage key permanent supervision controls for global Compliance teams
• Liaise with Bernstein and Société Générale Compliance colleagues in London, Paris, New York and Asia, giving guidance on regulatory controls
• Coordinate market-integrity surveillance risks and outputs, supporting investigations, resolution and programme enhancements
• Manage the input, certification and reporting of Compliance datasets and metrics, including Conflicts of Interest and Key Risk Indicators
• Coordinate APRC blueprint and anti-bribery and corruption risk assessments, perform controls and liaise with Operations Risk Management
• Ensure regulatory reporting is delivered on time and coordinated across global teams
• Support Compliance Risk Assessments and the Compliance Monitoring programme
• Assist with registered staff management and staff referential data, and coordinate the Normative Documentation roadmap (policies and procedures)
• Coordinate and respond to reverse KYC enquiries from clients, and consolidate compliance risk metrics for management
• Provide business leaders with timely information on key compliance and regulatory risks, and collaborate with Compliance Management, Risk and Legal on remedial actions

Required profile

• Confirmed experience of 5 to 10 years
• Knowledge of financial markets
• Awareness of compliance and controls
• Autonomy, proactivity and adaptability
• Integrity, professional conduct and sound judgement
