Contract Responsible for Large Construction Projects

About the role

Acciona is seeking a Contract Responsible to support the Project Director on its Casablanca water infrastructure project. The role focuses on managing the main construction contract, ensuring compliance with time, cost, quality and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the main contract and schedules, monitoring formal notices, time limits and contractual obligations.
• Develop and maintain contract documentation such as a Contract Manual and risk‑transfer mechanisms.
• Prepare and negotiate variations, extensions of time and claims, ensuring proper substantiation and client approval.
• Monitor exposure to liquidated damages and coordinate dispute management with the legal department.
• Provide contractual support to the procurement team and ensure effective communication with subcontractors and site personnel.

Required profile

• MSc in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience on large international construction projects, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar contract management position.
• Additional qualification in construction law or contracts is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent command of English and French; Arabic or Spanish is a plus.
