Coordinator of Volunteers

About the role

SUBSEA DEEP OCEAN LTD is looking for a part-time remote Coordinator of Volunteers to organise and support volunteer activities that advance its community and outreach efforts. The coordinator recruits, onboards and schedules volunteers, keeps accurate records and gives them ongoing guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and schedule volunteers so they are informed and prepared for their assignments
• Develop and deliver training materials and maintain accurate volunteer records
• Provide ongoing guidance and support to volunteers
• Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Help design community outreach initiatives and track participation and impact
• Carry out day-to-day work through virtual meetings, email and phone communication, documentation and continuous improvement of volunteer processes

Required profile

• Skills in volunteer management and volunteer training
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities
• Experience or interest in community outreach
• Relevant experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit work or community programs is beneficial
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and keep volunteer information confidential

Required skills

• Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage several tasks remotely
• Comfort with common digital tools such as email, video conferencing, spreadsheets and volunteer management platforms
