Cost Controller

About the role

The Cost Controller will support the property’s financial strategy by providing analysis, budgeting, and control functions that align with brand standards. This role works closely with senior management to ensure financial decisions enhance profitability and meet stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and market trends, assist in forecasting sales versus expenses, and develop annual budget plans.
• Monitor actual sales against projections, identify variances, and recommend actions to improve profit margins.
• Lead accounting activities, communicate goals to the team, and hold staff accountable for performance.
• Prepare timely financial reports, ensure accurate profit‑and‑loss documentation, and address audit findings.
• Oversee tax compliance, internal and external audit processes, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Support stakeholder needs by presenting financial results, advising on ROI expectations, and participating in owner meetings.
• Coordinate cross‑training, orientation, and development plans for finance team members.

Required profile

• 4‑year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• No prior work experience required; entry‑level candidates are welcome.
