Country Manager – Morocco

About the role

As the Country Manager for Morocco, you will lead PUMPUM’s efforts to strengthen the local business ecosystem, drive sustainable economic growth, and create lasting social impact. You will manage a freelance team of country representatives, oversee client relationships, and align activities with the organisation’s mission and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Country Impact Plan (CIP) in line with PUMPUM’s strategy.
• Strengthen business ecosystems through strategic analysis and partnership building with SMEs, entrepreneurs, and supporting organisations.
• Identify, develop, and secure funding from institutional donors, foundations, corporate partners, and other sponsors.
• Foster strategic partnerships and manage accounts to expand PUMPUM’s visibility and influence in Morocco.
• Build, lead, and coach the country representative team, ensuring quality acquisition and continuity.
• Oversee client relationship management from acquisition through ongoing engagement.
• Collaborate with the Africa regional team, reporting to the head of region and coordinating with other country managers and programme managers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme management and team leadership.
• Strong local network of small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) and partners in Morocco.
• Demonstrated ability to secure funding and manage donor relationships.
• Excellent partnership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or French is a plus.
• Result‑driven mindset with a focus on impact and sustainability.
