Customer Quality Engineer (Site Quality)

About the role

OPmobility is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to act as the primary liaison between the company and its automotive customers. You will ensure that customer requirements are fully integrated into internal processes and that product quality meets the highest standards throughout the production lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers and auditors, providing professional and methodological guidance.
• Translate customer requirements into internal processes and communicate them to resident engineers.
• Manage complaints, lead the 8D problem‑solving process, develop action plans, and monitor their effectiveness.
• Utilise quality tools and VPRS, cooperate with exchange auditors on visual sample creation and approval.
• Monitor development and quality results, ensuring compliance with customer specifications; halt production if non‑compliance threatens satisfaction.
• Participate in change management, functional verification of parts, and support launch engineers on new projects.
• Plan and conduct product audits, request corrective actions for unsatisfactory results, and drive continual improvement.
• Assist PD quality engineers with PPAP processing, tool verification, and feedback to the tool room.
• Train shift auditors and maintain responsibility for the quality of launched products in production.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑facing experience in an automotive or industrial environment.
• Proven ability to manage complaints and lead 8D investigations.
• Experience with product audits, change management, and functional verification.
• Capability to enforce quality standards and stop production when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills for daily interaction with customers, engineers, and auditors.
