Data & AI Engineering Team Leader

About the role

AXA Global Business Services Morocco is seeking a local technical leader for its Data & AI Engineering teams. The role will support engineering delivery, bridge the Morocco and France teams, and champion a strong data and AI culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the local technical leader for Data & AI teams, guiding delivery and technical decisions.
• Support engineering teams in solving delivery and technical challenges.
• Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Tech Leads based in Paris to ensure alignment.
• Ensure teams follow AXA frameworks, processes and best practices.
• Foster a strong Data & AI engineering culture and promote local team cohesion.
• Assist in scaling the team through technical sourcing and recruitment.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Data Engineering, AI and ETL.
• Background as Engineering Manager, Tech Lead or Lead Data Engineer.
• Good knowledge of data architecture and data pipelines.
• Proven experience working with distributed and international teams.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and decision‑making abilities.
