Data Science Engineer - Microsoft Fabric

About the role

A2MAC1, a global provider of automotive benchmarking and data analytics, is looking for an experienced Data Science Engineer to join its growing Data & Insights team in Casablanca. You will develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures and enable high-performance analytics and machine learning workflows, working closely with engineering, product and AI/ML teams. The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric tools
• Develop a scalable data warehouse architecture for analytics and reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, AI, Product, Engineering)
• Ensure data quality, security and compliance across the data lifecycle
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
• Leverage Python and open-source libraries to enhance data workflows
• Monitor and improve the performance of data processing pipelines
• Apply best practices in data governance and version control

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a production-grade environment
• Fluent English (written and verbal); French is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric: OneLake, Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Synapse
• Strong Python, SQL and data transformation libraries such as Pandas and PySpark
• Proven experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Solid understanding of data modeling and performance optimization
• Nice to have: machine learning tools (Azure ML, Scikit-learn, MLflow), Power BI, CI/CD and Azure DevOps, and certifications such as DP-203 or DP-900
