Director of Finance – Property Strategic Leader

About the role

The Director of Finance serves as the strategic financial business leader for the property, shaping and executing finance strategies that support brand initiatives and maximize return on investment. This role partners with owners, the executive team, and operational managers to drive profitable performance across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual operating budget, forecast sales versus expenses, and create profit‑improving initiatives.
• Lead financial analysis, monitor actual versus projected results, and identify cost‑saving and productivity opportunities.
• Oversee internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensure strong accounting controls.
• Provide analytical support to property managers, owners, and the executive committee on financial performance and cash‑flow management.
• Lead and develop the finance team, conduct performance appraisals, and assign clear accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with at least 3 years relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 1 year experience.
• Proven ability to develop strategic financial plans, manage budgets, and drive profitability in a hospitality environment.
• Strong communication skills to convey financial concepts to owners, executives, and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience overseeing audits, ensuring compliance with contracts and standard operating procedures.
