Director of Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations leads the strategic business direction of the Rabat Marriott Hotel, overseeing all core operational departments to ensure brand standards, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute property‑wide operational strategies aligned with Marriott’s brand vision and business goals.
• Monitor and analyze profitability, guest satisfaction trends, and financial performance against budget, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Lead department heads across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Recreation to deliver consistent service excellence.
• Drive revenue management by coaching teams on occupancy, rate optimization, wage control, and expense management.
• Handle guest feedback, resolve complaints, and maintain a visible presence to ensure high service standards.
• Oversee human‑resources activities, including performance reviews, staff communication, fair policy enforcement, and employee engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Either a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management plus 4 years relevant experience, or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with 2 years relevant experience.
• Proven experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales/marketing, or management operations within a hotel environment.
