Director, Specialist Sales – Consumer Solutions (North West Francophone Africa)

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director to lead specialist sales for consumer solutions across the North West Francophone Africa region. You will shape strategy, develop prepaid, debit and credit card programs, and drive growth for public‑sector and retail customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute strategy, tactics and implementation plans for prepaid, debit and credit card products targeting public‑sector issuers and strategic partners.
• Leverage the full suite of Mastercard capabilities (Loyalty, Advisors, Emerging Payments) to create innovative, value‑adding solutions.
• Provide consultative product expertise, education and implementation guidance to internal sales teams and external issuers.
• Facilitate two‑way communication with business and external stakeholders to capture requirements and convey product decisions.
• Assess business cases for new product developments and prioritize initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive product management experience in prepaid, debit and credit card payments.
• Deep understanding of consumer‑focused payment needs in North West and Francophone Africa.
• Proven ability to translate market opportunities into product requirements and business cases.
• Experience working with card issuers, government entities and industry organisations in the region.
