Economist – Macro & Private‑Sector Diagnostics

About the role

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is seeking an Economist to join its Country Advisory and Economics unit for North, West, and Central Africa. Based in Rabat, the role supports the IFC 3.0 strategy by delivering high‑quality macroeconomic analysis, country private‑sector diagnostics, and climate development reports.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor macroeconomic developments and policy trends for the Côte d’Ivoire cluster to inform investment due diligence.
• Identify and assess risks to IFC investments and advise regional directors and country managers on mitigation strategies.
• Produce country private‑sector diagnostics (CPSDs) and country climate development reports (CCDRs).
• Provide technical input on economic and strategic topics relevant to IFC operations.
• Support the preparation of project documents and advisory deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities and experience in private‑sector development policy.
• Motivated, dynamic professional with a collaborative team spirit.
• Fluency in English; French preferred.
