Embedded Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Cybersecurity Engineer to analyse cybersecurity needs for automotive embedded systems, define security requirements and ensure compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE R155.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments (TARA), identify threats and define protection measures.
• Participate in defining cybersecurity architecture for ECUs and communication networks.
• Develop and integrate security mechanisms such as Secure Boot, Secure Flashing, authentication and secure communications.
• Coordinate activities with Software, System, E/E Architecture and Validation teams.
• Execute verification and validation activities, analyse results and follow up on issue resolution.
• Maintain requirements traceability, technical documentation and deliverable follow‑up.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or Master’s in Cybersecurity, Embedded Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive cybersecurity or embedded systems security.
• Strong analytical skills, autonomy and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent in French and English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434 and risk assessment methodologies (TARA).
• Understanding of ECU architectures and automotive networks (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, UDS).
• Experience with embedded security mechanisms (Secure Boot, Secure Flashing, cryptography, authentication).
• Familiarity with automotive development processes (V‑cycle, ASPICE).
• Embedded software development in C/C++ and AUTOSAR.
