Embedded Software Engineer for UAV Systems

About the role

Harmattan AI is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join its UAV team. You will help design software architectures, set up development environments, and integrate drivers and algorithms for autonomous defense drones.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Embedded Linux or RTOS operating systems for UAV platforms.
• Improve embedded software architecture for scalability and reliability.
• Develop sensor drivers and integrate online algorithms in collaboration with algorithmic teams.
• Enhance telemetry systems and contribute to in‑house development tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑performance field‑ready systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field.
• Extensive experience in embedded software development for robotics or aerospace.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming; Python is a plus.
• Proven track record with Embedded Linux or RTOS and multi‑threaded systems.
• Hands‑on debugging experience using software debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analysers.
