Engine Peripherals Engineer – BMW Projects

About the role

We are looking for an engineer to develop engine peripheral components for BMW projects, covering concept creation, detailed design, and series‑production coordination within the Engine Peripherals Division.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concepts and production‑ready designs for intake silencers, secondary‑air systems, crankcase ventilation, cooling, fuel‑tank venting, throttle valves and other engine peripherals.
• Create Build‑to‑Print drawings and component specifications in accordance with BMW standards.
• Coordinate with BMW contacts, series‑production suppliers and internal teams throughout the approval and series‑development phases.
• Perform installation‑space analyses, route planning and bracket design, and verify supplier data on‑site.
• Prepare ECE documentation and manage data in Catia based on manufacturer information.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Prisma, Catia V5 and Workplace tools.
• Experience with automotive approval processes such as iRAM, Cobra or gAMS (a plus).
• Strong background in concept development and surface/sheet‑metal design for engine components.
• Good written and spoken English (minimum C1, B2 acceptable).
