Executive Housekeeper I

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper I is responsible for daily shift operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and, when applicable, Laundry at Le Meridien Marrakesh. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and meet the brand’s standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate guest room status to the Front Desk promptly and coordinate with Engineering for maintenance needs.
• Supervise daily housekeeping shift operations, enforce policies, and manage the general cleaning schedule.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, order guestroom and cleaning items, and ensure staff have proper equipment and uniforms.
• Conduct inspections of guestrooms and public spaces, follow up on corrective actions, and support an effective inspection program.
• Participate in budgeting, control departmental expenses, and understand financial impact on the property.
• Handle guest complaints, promote exceptional customer service, and empower staff to improve service performance.
• Perform HR activities including staffing, training, performance appraisals, and progressive discipline.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or related field.
• Ability to supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with housekeeping standards.
