About the role

The National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) seeks a senior expert to lead the evaluation, structuring and implementation of strategic mining projects. Reporting to the General Management, the role will strengthen ONHYM’s capacity to develop its mining portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mining assets and oversee prefeasibility and feasibility studies.
• Lead technical‑economic evaluation of mining projects.
• Structure and arrange financial models for project financing.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (geology, operations, finance, environment, legal).
• Ensure technical and economic optimisation of projects.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the mining portfolio.

Required profile

• Engineer (Bac+5) from a Grande École or a PhD in mining.
• More than 20 years of experience in exploration, exploitation and mining project management.
• Proven expertise across all project phases, from advanced exploration to production.
• Strong leadership, strategic decision‑making and stakeholder negotiation skills.
• Fluent in French and English, with excellent written and oral communication.

• Mastery of international resource evaluation standards.
• Advanced economic modelling and analysis.
• Risk management (technical, financial, environmental).
• Proficiency with project planning and management tools.
