Finance Business Analyst

About the role

APM Terminals is seeking a Finance Business Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across its global port operations. The role combines financial reporting with data‑driven improvement initiatives, partnering with senior leaders to influence business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Collect financial and non‑financial inputs to support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Coordinate data and reporting inputs to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting through the finance business centre.
• Monitor operating cost performance, analyse variances against budget and forecasts, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist project management activities in PMWeb, maintaining an up‑to‑date project register from approval to closure.
• Prepare cost analyses, performance reports, and management information for business reviews.
• Consolidate and produce monthly performance reports for senior management.
• Support KPI tracking, business planning, data‑quality initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects, including cost‑saving analyses.

Required profile

• Continuous‑improvement mindset with curiosity about work processes.
• Professional experience in finance, business analysis, accounting, performance management or a related field.
• University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and accounting‑related software applications.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with PowerPoint and Power BI.
• Familiarity with data‑analysis tools.
• Use of ERP systems and accounting software.
• Experience with PMWeb project‑management platform.
