Finance & Operations Manager

About the role

Harmattan AI is launching a new entity focused on autonomous defense systems. As the Finance & Operations Manager you will build the administrative, financial and HR foundations from scratch, reporting directly to the Head of Finance and HQ Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the entity’s administrative and accounting structure, including bank accounts, local accountant relationships and ERP configuration.
• Deploy local HR processes such as onboarding, payroll management and compliance with labour law.
• Establish monthly financial reporting to Group level covering cash burn, P&L and balance sheet.
• Design procurement and expense policies and implement a reimbursement framework.
• Coordinate with the Head of Finance to align accounting standards and integrate the entity into Group consolidated reporting.
• Manage relationships with local service providers (accountants, lawyers, insurers, suppliers) and with tax and social security administrations.
• Prepare the annual audit, work with the local accountant and document scalable processes for future growth.

Required profile

• Senior finance and operations professional with proven experience managing the full finance and ops scope of an SME or subsidiary autonomously.
• Hands‑on experience in accounting, monthly close, bank reconciliations and P&L preparation.
• Ability to build processes from the ground up and work independently.
