Gender Programmatic Review Consultant (Remote, 3.5 months)

About the role

UNICEF Morocco is seeking a Gender Programmatic Review Consultant to conduct a comprehensive assessment of gender integration across its programme portfolio, with a focus on the Beni Mellal‑Khenifra region. This remote, 3.5‑month assignment will inform the upcoming Gender Action Plan 2026‑2027.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the Country Programme Document results framework and mid‑term review findings to identify gender‑related strengths and gaps.
• Map gender mainstreaming opportunities and flagship sectoral initiatives across health, education, social protection, child protection and other priority areas.
• Develop evidence‑based strategic options for strengthening gender equality, including stakeholder roles and collaboration pathways.
• Produce a final report with actionable recommendations that align with national development frameworks and UNICEF’s strategic plans.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in gender studies, international development, public policy or a related field.
• Proven experience conducting programme reviews or gender assessments in a UN or donor‑funded context.
• Strong understanding of gender mainstreaming concepts and UN development frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills.
