Genetic Resources Team Coordinator

About the role

The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) is looking for a Genetic Resources Team Coordinator to provide operational, administrative and coordination support to its genetic resources team. The role serves as the main interface between the team and internal support units, ensuring projects, resources and partnerships are efficiently managed.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain oversight of all ongoing projects, including deliverables, timelines, milestones and reporting requirements.
• Update and manage project management tools and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) frameworks.
• Support preparation and submission of technical and financial reports in coordination with Finance and the Project Grant Unit.
• Identify, track and circulate relevant funding opportunities and monitor calls for proposals.
• Assist in proposal preparation, coordinating inputs, timelines and documentation.
• Organise team meetings, workshops and events, ensuring proper documentation and follow‑up.
• Maintain well‑organized team resources such as shared drives, presentations, guidelines, SOPs and reference materials.

Required profile

• Experience providing operational and administrative support to research teams.
• Ability to act as a key interface between scientific staff and internal support units (Finance, Administration, Procurement, HR, Communications).
• Strong coordination skills for managing project timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communications.
• Familiarity with proposal development and fundraising processes.
