Global Philanthropy Development Senior Lead

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a senior professional to lead the Global Philanthropy Development function. The role will drive the Horizon B fundraising strategy, focusing on major donors, corporate partners and foundations across the worldwide movement.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Global Philanthropy strategy to meet Horizon B income targets, aiming to double major‑donor revenue by 2030.
• Identify, develop and promote best practices in philanthropy across all Save the Children member offices.
• Support, strengthen and expand the global community of major‑donor practitioners.
• Build capacity within national members in Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America.
• Travel up to 25% of the time to lead and support philanthropy initiatives in new and established markets.
• Collaborate with senior fundraisers and leaders internationally, providing strategic guidance and technical support.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in major‑donor or philanthropy development within the nonprofit sector.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders across multiple regions.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Right to work in the country of assignment for the contract duration.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.
