Indirect Business Leader – Africa

About the role

This senior commercial position will lead the growth and transformation of the indirect business for a global medical technology company across Africa. The role is based in Morocco or Kenya and requires extensive travel throughout the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth, market‑share expansion and portfolio performance across multiple African markets.
• Execute the indirect commercial strategy, strengthening distributor performance through governance, capability development and performance management.
• Lead tender planning, pricing strategy, execution and post‑award management to ensure tender excellence.
• Maintain pricing discipline and optimise the product portfolio across distributor networks.
• Build and develop high‑performing commercial teams aligned with regional growth priorities.
• Establish consistent operating rhythms, including distributor business reviews, KOL engagement, portfolio management and marketing activation.
• Partner with Marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain and other functions to support sustainable growth.
• Lead organisational transformation and change in a multicultural environment while developing a strong leadership pipeline.

Required profile

• 12+ years of commercial leadership experience in the medical device industry.
• Proven success leading indirect/distributor business models in Africa or other emerging markets.
• Strong understanding of tender‑based healthcare markets.
• Demonstrated ability to drive commercial growth, organisational transformation and distributor performance.
• Excellent English communication skills and willingness to travel extensively across Africa.
